Edmonton's Online Parenting Resource

Welcome to our online local community. Please introduce yourself in the forums, even if you do not plan on becoming a regular poster. It is great to have the chance to welcome you to our community.

A community is a set of people (or agents in a more abstract sense) with some shared element — in particular a group of people who live in the same area is a community. The substance of shared element varies widely, from a situation to interest to lives and values. The term is widely used to evoke sense of collectivism.

*Please note that we are not a business, but a private community/club/organization*

LP exists independently, and is powered by it's members and those who choose to show off their businesses with banners.

LP is costly to operate. Its monthly bills (to list a few) are:
Hosting 120.00
Webmaster 50.00-200.00 (can get higher if more assistance is needed or an upgrade is needed)
Chat Room 10.00
Advertising~None at this time

Yearly Expenses include domain names 100.00
Licenses for programs such as the directory, the calendar about 100.00

There are also office and equipment costs to consider.

LP is volunteer driven and has no paid staff. Our volunteers do many things, such as take care of our classified ad section, organize many LP events, updating our calendar section regularly and much more.

Please note that LinkingParents is NOT a business. We are a privately owned community/club/organization.

So what can you do to help??? Right now LP relies on-
~Premium Memberships from members
~donations through paypal payment@linkingparents.com
~Banner ads starting $25.00 a month
~Visiting the various links on the home page

We need to raise about $300.00 a month just to keep LP in existence. Thank you for your generous support.
